This year the official residency of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin will be represented in the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS. For the first time videomappings will be projected onto the facade of Bellevue Palace. The President of the Federal Republic of Germany offered a 2000 Euro prize money for the finalists of the Special Award competiton on the topic “Democracy”.
Videomapping artists from all over the world were asked to convert their ideas and visions of democracy in image and sound.
How the artists converted their ideas will be a surprise for the visitors. On the 6th of October at 9:00 pm Frank Walter Steinmeier himself will press the start button for the projection mapping show. Afterwards the videomappings continue until the 8th of October daily from 7:00 to 12:00 pm.
From 6th – 8th October 2017 10:00 pm you could vote for your favorite artist. Congratulations to the winner: TINA ZIMMERMANN
