James-Simon-Gallery "Kuwait-Mapping" 2019

For the first time, the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre from Kuwait was a sponsor and made the James Simon Gallery on the Museum Island shine with a breathtaking video mapping. The centre in Kuwait combines the Arabic with the Western culture and is one of the largest cultural building complexes in the world. The installation expressed this with a cross-section of the exhibitions. An exciting journey through the evolution of mankind.

A beautiful selection of world-famous cultural treasures of thousands of years from the collections of the National Museums in Berlin was displayed on the facade of the James Simon Gallery to astonished visitors.

James-Simon-Galerie "Staatliche Museen zu Berlin" 2019

Eine wunderschöne Auswahl weltberühmter Kulturschätze vieler Jahrtausende aus den Schauen der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin zeigte sich den staunenden Besucher*innen an der James-Simon-Galerie. Das siebenminütige 3D Videomapping erstreckte sich über die gesamte Breite der Fassade und zeigte Kunstwerke, wie die weltberühmte Nofretete, das Ischtartor oder die bekannte Zeichnung Marilyn Monroe von Andy Warhol.

Erstmals als Sponsor dabei war das Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre aus Kuwait und ließ mit einem atemberaubenden Videomapping die James-Simon-Galerie auf der Museumsinsel erstrahlen. Das Zentrum in Kuwait verbindet die arabische mit der westlichen Kultur und ist einer der größten kulturellen Gebäudekomplexe der Welt. Die Installation brachte dies mit einem Querschnitt aus den Ausstellungen zum Ausdruck. Eine spannende Reise durch die Evolution der Menschheit.
