The Kolding Light Festival was held for the first time in December of 2013 in Kolding city, Denmark. The date is fixed on the second weekend in December each year. It’s a beautiful event preluding the upcoming Christmas season.

The festival’s idea is to give visitors a new and different experience of Kolding City using light and sound. With exciting lighting sets, video mappings, interactive installations and lightart, the urban space presents itself in a whole new light.

During the Festival of 2016 the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS Berlin sent its famous „Guardians of Time“ to join the Kolding festivities.

Das Kolding Light Festival fand erstmals im Dezember 2013 in der dänischen Stadt Kolding statt. Der Termin ist jedes Jahr auf das zweite Wochenende im Dezember festgelegt. Es ist ein wunderschönes Ereignis, das die bevorstehende Weihnachtszeit einleitet.

Die Idee des Festivals ist es, den Besuchern eine neue und andere Perspektive der Stadt Kolding mit Licht und Ton zu ermöglichen. Mit spannenden Lichtsets, Video-Mappings, interaktiven Installationen und Lichtkunst präsentiert sich die Innenstadt in einem ganz neuen Licht.

Während des Festivals 2016 schickte das FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS Berlin seine berühmten „Wächter der Zeit“ zu den Feierlichkeiten nach Kolding.
