BOREALIS Festival of Light first took place from 11th to 14th of October 2018 in Seattle, USA.
A kaleidoscope of light, color and illusion transformed the exterior of the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), showcasing an international video projection mapping competition in nightly performances. A self-guided walking tour throughout the South Lake Union neighborhood of light art installations from regional and international artists and artist teams rounded out the festival.
BOREALIS, a festival of light brings together artists and the technological world for this inaugural, annual event in Seattle.
The festival is free to the public and features a unique combination of live music, street art performance, lighting art installations, and multi-media video mapping designed to transform surrounding environments into a virtual reality extravaganza – an urban canvas for unconventional storytelling by artists from around the globe.
