Light Nights Augsburg 2021 - Festival of Lights

Die Light Nights in Augsburg, das sind drei Tage im Oktober, an denen die Stadt sich in ein außergewöhnliches Freiluftkunstwerk verwandelt. Geschichte und Kunst, Zeit und Raum verschmelzen durch die Magie des Lichts auf einzigartige Weise miteinander. Die Besucher der Augsburger Innenstadt erwartete ein ganz besonderes Lichterspektakel: der Rathausplatz sowie viele weitere Plätze und Straßen wurden vom 22. bis 24. Oktober gekonnt in Szene gesetzt. Zwischen 19 und 23 Uhr konnten die Besucher auf dem Rundweg die Projektionen und Installationen bewundern.

Wir freuen uns sehr, die Augsburg Light Nights gemeinsam mit Augsburg Marketing und vielen Künstlern und Partnern zu realisieren. 2021 war wieder ein großer Erfolg!

Light Nights Augsburg 2019

Am 26. und 27. Oktober erwartete Einheimische sowie Gäste in der Augsburger Innenstadt ein ganz besonderes Lichterspektakel: die Light Nights Augsburg. Diese fanden zum ersten Mal in Augsburg statt und setzten am letzten Oktoberwochenende den Rathausplatz sowie die Philippine-Welser-Straße und den Fuggerplatz gekonnt in Szene.

An beiden Tagen wurden zwischen 19 und 23 Uhr verschiedene Videos, 3D-Animationen und künstlerische Grafikelemente auf das Augsburger Rathaus, den Perlachturm und das Eckerle-Haus projiziert, die dabei nicht nur das Thema UNESCO-Welterbe aufgriffen, sondern unterschiedliche Motive aus ganz Augsburg. Die ca. zehnminütige Show wurd alle 20 Minuten wiederholt, zwischen den Pausen blieben die Gebäude illuminiert.

Vom Rathausplatz über die Philippine-Welser-Straße leuchteten zudem Lichtskulpturen den Weg zum Fuggerplatz. Das Besondere hierbei ist, dass die kunstvollen Illuminationen sich zu einem einzigartigen Gesamtkunstwerk aus Licht zusammensetzten.

The Light Nights in Augsburg are three days in October when the city is transformed into an extraordinary open-air work of art. History and art, time and space merge in a unique way through the magic of light. A very special light spectacle awaited visitors to Augsburg’s city center: the Rathausplatz and many other squares and streets were skilfully staged from October 22 to 24. Between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., visitors could admire the projections and installations on the circular route.

We are very happy to realize the Augsburg Light Nights together with Augsburg Marketing and many artists and partners. 2021 was again a great success!

On 26 and 27 October, a very special light spectacle awaited inhabitants and guests alike in the city centre of Augsburg: the Light Nights Augsburg. These took place for the first time in Augsburg and on the last weekend of October they skilfully staged the Rathausplatz, Philippine-Welser-Straße and Fuggerplatz.

On both days, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., various videos, 3D animations and artistic graphic elements were projected onto the Augsburg City Hall, the Perlachturm and the Eckerle House, which did not only take up the theme of UNESCO World Heritage, but also various motifs from all over Augsburg. The ten-minute show was repeated every 20 minutes and the buildings remained illuminated between breaks.

From Rathausplatz via Philippine-Welser-Straße, light sculptures illuminated the way to Fuggerplatz. What was special about this is that the artistic illuminations were combined to create a unique work of art made up of light.
